Κολομβία: Αυξάνεται ο αριθμός των νεκρών
Όσο περνούν οι ώρες εξανεμίζονται οι ελπίδες για την ανεύρεση επιζώντων στα ερείπια των κτιρίων που κατέρρευσαν στην Κολομβία εξαιτίας του ισχυρού σεισμού που συγκλόνισε τη χώρα τη Δευτέρα. Στην Κάλι, την τρίτη πολυπληθέστερη πόλη της Κολομβίας, οι επιχειρήσεις έρευνας και διάσωσης έχουν περιοριστεί σε λιγοστά σημεία, ενώ εντείνονται οι προσπάθειες απομάκρυνσης των ερειπίων, μετά την παρέλευση των κρίσιμων πρώτων 72 ωρών. Ο σεισμός μεγέθους 7,4 βαθμών σημειώθηκε λίγο μετά τις 7:30 το πρωί της Δευτέρας (τοπική ώρα, 15:30 στην Ελλάδα), ισοπεδώνοντας δεκάδες κτήρια στο δυτικό τμήμα της χώρας. Τουλάχιστον 273 άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν, πολλοί εξ αυτών στις πόλεις Κάλι και Περέιρα, ενώ οι τραυματίες ξεπερνούν τους 3.800, σύμφωνα με νεότερο απολογισμό της κυβέρνησης που κάνει λόγο για 377 αγνοούμενους. Ο πρόεδρος της Κολομβίας, Αμπελάρδο ντε λα Εσπριέγια, ο οποίος ανέλαβε την εξουσία την περασμένη εβδομάδα, κήρυξε χθες Τετάρτη τριήμερο εθνικό πένθος, ενώ αποφάσισε να κηρύξει κατάσταση «οικονομικής έκτακτης ανάγκης», μέτρο που θα επιτρέψει να αυξηθούν οι φόροι και να τροποποιηθεί ο προϋπολογισμός του κράτους χωρίς να απαιτείται έγκριση του κοινοβουλίου. Νέο ρεκόρ στο αεροδρόμιο Χανίων – Εκτοξεύτηκε η επιβατική κίνηση τον Ιούλιο
Νέο ρεκόρ επιβατικής κίνησης κατέγραψε τον Ιούλιο το αεροδρόμιο «Δασκαλογιάννης» των Χανίων, επιβεβαιώνοντας τη δυναμική της φετινής τουριστικής περιόδου. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία της Fraport, τον περασμένο μήνα διακινήθηκαν συνολικά 791.120 επιβάτες, καταγράφοντας αύξηση 5,6% σε σχέση με τον Ιούλιο του 2025. Από αυτούς, 115.092 ήταν επιβάτες εσωτερικού και 676.026 εξωτερικού. Αυξημένες κατά 5,4% ήταν και οι πτήσεις, οι οποίες ανήλθαν σε 4.857. Η άνοδος είναι ακόμη μεγαλύτερη σε επίπεδο επταμήνου. Από τον Ιανουάριο έως και τον Ιούλιο, από το αεροδρόμιο Χανίων έχουν περάσει 2.411.476 επιβάτες, αριθμός αυξημένος κατά 9,5% σε σχέση με πέρυσι.
