IRGC: Τρία πετρελαιοφόρα επλήγησαν στα Στενά του Ορμούζ
Οι Φρουροί της Ισλαμικής Επανάστασης του Ιράν (IRGC) «χτύπησαν και σταμάτησαν» τρία πετρελαιοφόρα στα Στενά του Ορμούζ, σύμφωνα με το ημιεπίσημο ιρανικό πρακτορείο ειδήσεων Tasnim. Σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση των Φρουρών της Επανάστασης, τα τρία πλοία συνέχιζαν να κινούνται «σε μη ασφαλή και παράνομη διαδρομή», αγνοώντας τις προειδοποιήσεις των ιρανικών αρχών, με αποτέλεσμα να «χτυπηθούν και να σταματήσουν». Το IRGC προειδοποίησε επίσης ότι οποιοδήποτε πλοίο ακολουθεί «παράνομες διαδριμές ή εντολές» των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών στα Στενά του Ορμούζ «δεν θα μείνει χωρίς απάντηση». www.ertnews.gr

Σήμερα Τετάρτη, 29 Ιουλίου, σύμφωνα με το εορτολόγιο τιμάται, η μνήμη των Αγίας Θεοδότης μάρτυρος, Αγίου Καλλινίκου του Κίλικος. Τα ονόματα που γιορτάζουν σήμερα είναι τα εξής: Θεόδοτος, Θεοδότης, Θεοδότη, Καλλίνικος, Καλλινίκης. Άγιος Καλλίνικος Ο Άγιος Καλλίνικος κατάγονταν από την Κιλικία. Ήταν ευσεβής και ενάρετος και είχε σαν έργο ζωής την κατήχηση των εθνικών με σκοπό τη σωτηρία τους. Όταν έφθασε στην Αίγυπτο, φανατικοί ειδωλολάτρες εξεγέρθηκαν εναντίον του, τον συνέλαβαν και τον οδήγησαν στον ηγεμόνα Σακέρδωνα. Αυτός, υποκρινόμενος, έδειξε ότι λυπάται, και για να κάμψει το φρόνημα του Καλλινίκου, ανέφερε δήθεν περιστατικά πρώην γενναίων χριστιανών, που όταν αντίκρισαν τα σκληρά βάσανα, αρνήθηκαν την πίστη τους. Όλα αυτά και άλλα περισσότερα και σκληρότερα βασανιστήρια ποθώ για την αγάπη του Χριστού». Πράγματι, ο έπαρχος τον μαστίγωσε σκληρά. Του φόρεσε παπούτσια, τα οποία είχαν καρφιά και τον ανάγκασε να τρέχει μέχρι την πόλη της Γάγγρας σε απόσταση ογδόντα στάδια. Έσκισε τις σάρκες του με σιδερένια νύχια και όπως ήταν μισοπεθαμένος, τον έδεσε πίσω από ένα άγριο άλογο, που τον έσυρε για πολλά χιλιόμετρα. Τόση ήταν η λύσσα του έπαρχου, που πριν ο Καλλίνικος αφήσει την τελευταία του πνοή, τον έριξε μέσα στη φωτιά. Έτσι ένδοξα πήρε το στεφάνι του μαρτυρίου.
