Νίκος Παπαθανάσης: Η ανταγωνιστικότητα της Ευρώπης θα είναι πραγματικά βιώσιμη όταν καμία περιφέρεια και κανένας πολίτης δεν μένει πίσω
Ο αναπληρωτής υπουργός Εθνικής Οικονομίας και Οικονομικών Νίκος Παπαθανάσης, εκπροσώπησε την Ελλάδα στην Άτυπη Υπουργική Συνάντηση των υπουργών αρμόδιων για την Πολιτική Συνοχής, η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Δουβλίνο, στο πλαίσιο της ιρλανδικής Προεδρίας του Συμβουλίου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης. Στο επίκεντρο των εργασιών της Συνόδου βρέθηκε ο ρόλος της Πολιτικής Συνοχής στην ενίσχυση της ανταγωνιστικότητας της Ευρώπης, καθώς και οι προτεραιότητες για το μέλλον της μετά το 2027. Οι συζητήσεις επικεντρώθηκαν στη διασφάλιση μιας ισχυρής Πολιτικής Συνοχής που θα συνεχίσει να συμβάλλει στη μείωση των περιφερειακών ανισοτήτων, ενισχύοντας παράλληλα την ανάπτυξη, την καινοτομία, τις δεξιότητες και την οικονομική ανθεκτικότητα σε όλες τις ευρωπαϊκές περιφέρειες. Κατά την παρέμβασή του, ο αναπληρωτής υπουργός υπογράμμισε ότι, για την Ελλάδα, η σύγκλιση αποτελεί προϋπόθεση για μια ισχυρή και βιώσιμη ευρωπαϊκή ανταγωνιστικότητα, τονίζοντας παράλληλα την ανάγκη διατήρησης μιας ισχυρής Πολιτικής Συνοχής μετά το 2027, με επαρκείς πόρους και με επίκεντρο τις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες κάθε περιφέρειας. Ταυτόχρονα, ανέδειξε τη σημασία της γεωγραφικής διάστασης και στην κατανομή των πόρων των κεντρικά διαχειριζόμενων ευρωπαϊκών εργαλείων, και ιδιαίτερα του Ευρωπαϊκού Ταμείου Ανταγωνιστικότητας, προκειμένου όλες οι περιφέρειες να έχουν τη δυνατότητα να προσελκύουν επενδύσεις, να δημιουργούν ποιοτικές θέσεις εργασίας και να αξιοποιούν τις ευκαιρίες που δημιουργούνται από τις ευρωπαϊκές πολιτικές και τα χρηματοδοτικά εργαλεία. Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά έγινε επίσης στη σημασία της εκπαίδευσης, της ανάπτυξης δεξιοτήτων και της πρόσβασης σε ποιοτικές υπηρεσίες, ως βασικών προϋποθέσεων για τη διατήρηση της κοινωνικής συνοχής και την ενίσχυση της ανταγωνιστικότητας, ιδίως στις νησιωτικές, ορεινές και λιγότερο ανεπτυγμένες περιοχές της Ευρώπης. «Η Ελλάδα υποστηρίζει σταθερά μια ισχυρή Πολιτική Συνοχής και μετά το 2027, με επαρκείς πόρους και ουσιαστική προστιθέμενη αξία για όλες τις περιφέρειες. Η ανταγωνιστικότητα και η Συνοχή δεν είναι αντικρουόμενοι στόχοι. Αντίθετα, μια πιο ανταγωνιστική Ευρώπη προϋποθέτει μια πιο συνεκτική Ευρώπη, όπου κάθε περιφέρεια μπορεί να αναπτύσσεται, να προσελκύει επενδύσεις, να δημιουργεί ευκαιρίες και να συμβάλλει ενεργά στην κοινή ευρωπαϊκή πορεία. Χρειαζόμαστε μια Πολιτική Συνοχής που συνδυάζει ανταγωνιστικότητα και σύγκλιση, ευελιξία και προβλεψιμότητα. Στην πλατεία Αριστοτέλους η μεγάλη γιορτή της UEFA για τα 100 χρόνια από την ίδρυση της ΕΠΟ
Η πλατεία Αριστοτέλους μετατράπηκε σήμερα σε γήπεδο, φιλοξενώντας μια μεγάλη ποδοσφαιρική γιορτή της UEFA, με τη συμμετοχή μαθητών και μαθητριών από σχολεία της Θεσσαλονίκης αλλά και γνωστών μορφών του ελληνικού και διεθνούς ποδοσφαίρου. Στον αγωνιστικό χώρο βρέθηκαν, μεταξύ άλλων, οι Θοδωρής Ζαγοράκης, Γιώργος Καραγκούνης, Άγγελος Μπασινάς, Δημήτρης Παπαδόπουλος και Βασίλης Τσιάρτας, Αλιόσα Ασάνοβιτς ενώ συμμετείχε και ο πρόεδρος της ΕΠΟ, Μάκης Γκαγκάτσης. Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε παρουσία του προέδρου της UEFA, Αλεξάντερ Τσέφεριν, ο οποίος βρίσκεται στη Θεσσαλονίκη με αφορμή και τη συμπλήρωση 100 χρόνων από την ίδρυση της Ελληνικής Ποδοσφαιρικής Ομοσπονδίας. Πριν από την έναρξη της εκδήλωσης, ο πρόεδρος της ΕΠΟ τού προσέφερε αναμνηστικό για την επέτειο των 100 χρόνων. Το πρόγραμμα της UEFA, το οποίο έχει υιοθετήσει και η ΕΠΟ, προβλέπει αντίστοιχες ποδοσφαιρικές δράσεις σε 41 διαφορετικές περιοχές της χώρας, από τη Ρόδο έως τον Έβρο.
