Γερμανία: Ένας στους δύο ψηφοφόρους βλέπει αλλαγή καγκελάριου έως το τέλος του 2026
Σχεδόν ο ένας στους δύο Γερμανούς αναμένει ότι ο καγκελάριος Φρίντριχ Μερτς θα αντικατασταθεί προτού κλείσει η χρονιά, υποδεικνύει δημοσκόπηση του ινστιτούτου YouGov. Κατά την έρευνα αυτή σε αντιπροσωπευτικό δείγμα 1.611 ενηλίκων, το 48% θεωρεί πως ο κ. Μερτς δεν θα είναι καγκελάριος στις αρχές του 2027, το 31% θεωρεί το αντίθετο, πως θα παραμείνει στο αξίωμα, ενώ το 21% απάντησε ότι δεν γνωρίζει ή δεν απαντά. Ο καγκελάριος Μερτς, το ποσοστό δημοτικότητας του οποίου κατακρημνίζεται τους τελευταίους μήνες, είναι αντιμέτωπος με τον κίνδυνο νέας ταπεινωτικής ήττας σε τουλάχιστον μια εκλογική διαδικασία σε ανατολικά ομόσπονδα κρατίδια, δυο εβδομάδες μετά την επικράτηση της ακροδεξιάς Εναλλακτικής για τη Γερμανία (AfD) στη Σαξονία-Άνχαλτ. Η βαριά ήττα στο παραδοσιακό οχυρό της παράταξης της γερμανικής κεντροδεξιάς, της Χριστιανοδημοκρατικής Ένωσης (CDU), που κατέρρευσε εξασφαλίζοντας μόλις 17% των ψήφων, ενώ η AfD σημείωσε ραγδαία άνοδο στο 44%, επέτεινε τη σεναριολογία στη Γερμανία για το μέλλον του καγκελάριου, το ενδεχόμενο να αναγκαστεί να εγκαταλείψει το αξίωμα. Πρόσφατες δημοσκοπήσεις θέλουν την CDU, το μείζον κόμμα του κυβερνητικού «μεγάλου» συνασπισμού, να μην συγκεντρώνει παρά το 7% των προθέσεων ψήφου στο Μεκλεμβούργο-Πομερανία, ποσοστό επικίνδυνα κοντά στον πήχη του 5% που απαιτείται για την κατάληψη εδρών στο κρατιδιακό κοινοβούλιο. Αν η πρόβλεψη επιβεβαιωθεί, θα πρόκειται για τη χειρότερη επίδοση της παράταξης σε οποιοδήποτε από τα 16 ομόσπονδα κρατίδια της Γερμανίας μετά τον Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. Ο ενδιαφερόμενος καταβάλλει προσπάθειες να παραμερίσει τα σενάρια για το μέλλον του. Η εγκατάλειψη της προσπάθειας «δεν είναι επιλογή για μένα», επιμένει ο καγκελάριος. Σήμερα Παρασκευή, 18 Σεπτεμβρίου, σύμφωνα με το εορτολόγιο τιμάται η μνήμη των Αγίας Αριάδνης μάρτυρος, Οσίου Ευμενίου αρχιεπισκόπου Γορτύνης, Αγίου Κάστορος μάρτυρος, Οσίου Ρωμύλου. Τα ονόματα που γιορτάζουν σήμερα είναι τα εξής: Αριάδνη, Αριάνα, Ευμένιος, Ευμένης, Ευμενία, Κάστωρ, Κάστορας, Κάστορης, Ρωμύλος, Ρωμύλιος, Ρωμύλης, Ρωμύλα, Ρωμυλία, Ρωμύλη, Ρωμυλαία. Όσιος Ρωμύλος Ο Ρωμύλος, σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία που συνέγραψε ο μαθητής του Γρηγόριος, γεννήθηκε το 1300 στην πόλη Βιδίνιο από γονείς ευσεβείς. Ο πατέρας του ήταν Έλληνας και η μητέρα του Βουλγάρα. Οι γονείς του τον εμπιστεύτηκαν σε σπουδαίο δάσκαλο. Επειδή είχε κλίση στη μοναχική ζωή, πήγε στη Μονή της Θεοτόκου της Οδηγήτριας, στο Τίρνοβο Βουλγαρίας. Εκάρη μοναχός με το όνομα Ρωμανός και ασκήτευσε για τρία χρόνια. Αφού έγινε μεγαλόσχημος με το όνομα Ρωμύλος πήγε στο Άγιο Όρος μαζί με τον μαθητή του Γρηγόριο όπου ασκήτευσαν. Πολλοί Αγιορείτες πήγαιναν κοντά του για να ακούσουν τα σοφά του λόγια. Όταν ξέσπασε πόλεμος μεταξύ Τούρκων, Σέρβων και Βουλγάρων, πολλοί μετακινήθηκαν. Έτσι και ο Ρωμύλος πήγε στην Αυλώνα, μετά στην Κωνσταντινούπολη και τέλος στη Ραβενίτσα της Σερβίας, στο μοναστήρι της Υπεραγίας Θεοτόκου, όπου και απεβίωσε ειρηνικά.
