Η ανανεωμένη Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης του Πέδρο Μαρτίνεθ επέβαλε το ρυθμό της σε μεγάλη διάρκεια του τελικού με τον Ολυμπιακό και αναδείχθηκε νικήτρια με 93-89 στο νεοσύστατο EuroLeague Super Cup που διεξήχθη στο Άμπου Ντάμπι. Σε μια άτυπη ρεβάνς του τελικού της προηγούμενης EuroLeague, Ολυμπιακός και Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης αναμετρήθηκαν στο Άμπου Ντάμπι με φόντο το τρόπαιο του παρθενικού Super Cup της διοργάνωσης. Τελικά, η “Βασίλισσα” είναι αυτή που πήρε τη νίκη στον τελικό με 93-89 και κατέκτησε τον τίτλο. Επιθέσεις σε «ευαίσθητες τοποθεσίες» στο Ριάντ και την Ερυθρά Θάλασσα ανακοίνωσαν οι Χούθι της Υεμένης
Νέες επιθέσεις εξαπέλυσαν το Σάββατο (19/09) οι Χούθι εναντίον «ευαίσθητων τοποθεσιών» στην πρωτεύουσα Ριάντ και εναντίον εγκαταστάσεων που ανήκουν στον σαουδαραβικό πετρελαϊκό γίγαντα Aramco στην πόλη-λιμάνι Γιανμπού, στην Ερυθρά Θάλασσα, ανακοίνωσε ο στρατιωτικός εκπρόσωπος του υεμενίτικου κινήματος Γιαχία Σαρί. Ισχυρές εκρήξεις ακούστηκαν στην πρωτεύουσα της Σαουδικής Αραβίας κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας Παρασκευής προς σήμερα Σάββατο, σύμφωνα με δημοσιογράφους του Γαλλικού Πρακτορείου. Φλόγες και μαύρος καπνός φαίνονταν να υψώνονται κοντά στο αεροδρόμιο του Ριάντ, σύμφωνα με κατοίκους. Νωρίτερα το μεσημέρι δημοσιογράφος του Γαλλικού Πρακτορείου ανέφερε πως στις φλόγες τυλίχθηκε δεξαμενή καυσίμων της Aramco η οποία βρίσκεται κοντά στο διεθνές αεροδρόμιο της σαουδαραβικής πρωτεύουσας. «Οι ένοπλες δυνάμεις της Υεμένης διεξήγαγαν με επιτυχία δύο στρατιωτικές επιχειρήσεις χρησιμοποιώντας μεγάλο αριθμό βαλλιστικών πυραύλων και πυραύλων κρουζ και drones», δήλωσε ο Σαρί σε δήλωση που δημοσιεύτηκε στο Telegram. «Η πρώτη είχε στόχο ευαίσθητες τοποθεσίες στην πρωτεύουσα της Σαουδικής Αραβίας, Ριάντ, και η δεύτερη στόχευσε εγκαταστάσεις της Aramco στο Γιανμπού», πρόσθεσε. Ο εκπρόσωπος ανέφερε ότι αυτές οι επιθέσεις έγιναν σε απάντηση στη «συνεχιζόμενη επιθετικότητα» της Σαουδικής Αραβίας στην Υεμένη και στις «εγκληματικές απόπειρες της (…) να στοχεύσει την πρωτεύουσα Σαναά», πόλη που βρίσκεται υπό την κατοχή των Χούθι. Παράλληλα, στρατιωτικές πηγές και από τις δύο αντιμαχόμενες πλευρές στην Υεμένη, τόνισαν νωρίτερα την ίδια ημέρα στο Γαλλικό Πρακτορείο πως οι μάχες στο νότιο τμήμα της χώρας μεταξύ των κυβερνητικών δυνάμεων που υποστηρίζονται από τη Σαουδική Αραβία και των φιλοϊρανών Χούθι άφησαν 48 νεκρούς τις τελευταίες 24 ώρες.
