Προβλήματα σε Σκιάθο και Εύβοια από τις βροχοπτώσεις – Κατολισθήσεις, απεγκλωβισμοί και πλημμυρισμένοι δρόμοι
Δύσκολη νύχτα σε περιοχές της κεντρικής Ελλάδας, με ισχυρές βροχοπτώσεις, πλημμυρικά φαινόμενα και κατολισθήσεις. Στις Σποράδες, ισχυρό μπουρίνι έπληξε χθες τη Σκιάθο, ενώ στην κεντρική Εύβοια σημειώθηκαν προβλήματα από τα νερά και κατολισθήσεις στο οδικό δίκτυο. Στη Σκιάθο, το μπουρίνι εκδηλώθηκε περίπου στις 7 το απόγευμα, με αποτέλεσμα να πλημμυρίσει η κεντρική οδός της Χώρας, στην οδό Παπαδιαμάντη. Τα ορμητικά νερά παρέσυραν αντικείμενα από παρακείμενα καταστήματα, χωρίς ευτυχώς να κινδυνεύσουν κάτοικοι ή επισκέπτες του νησιού. Οι τοπικές αρχές, τόσο σε περιφερειακό όσο και σε δημοτικό επίπεδο, παραμένουν σε ετοιμότητα, καθώς η περιοχή βρίσκεται σε πορτοκαλί προειδοποίηση από την ΕΜΥ και τα έντονα φαινόμενα συνεχίζονται σε τμήματα της κεντρικής Ελλάδας. Σημαντικά προβλήματα καταγράφηκαν και στην κεντρική Εύβοια, στον Δήμο Διρφύων-Μεσσαπίων. Στην περιοχή των Ψαχνών σημειώθηκαν πλημμυρικά φαινόμενα, με τα νερά να προκαλούν προβλήματα σε κατοικίες. Παράλληλα, στον δρόμο προς τη Βόρεια Εύβοια, στο σημείο Δερβένι, σημειώθηκαν κατολισθήσεις, με βραχώδεις όγκους να καταλήγουν στο οδόστρωμα. Οι τοπικές αρχές προχώρησαν στην απομάκρυνσή τους, προκειμένου να αποκατασταθεί η ασφαλής κυκλοφορία. Στα Πολιτικά Ευβοίας, η Πυροσβεστική Υπηρεσία χρειάστηκε να επέμβει για τον απεγκλωβισμό δύο ατόμων που επέβαιναν σε Ι.Χ. αυτοκίνητο. Το περιστατικό σημειώθηκε περίπου στις 3:45 τα ξημερώματα, όταν το όχημα ακινητοποιήθηκε σε λάσπες. Οι δύο επιβαίνοντες, ένας άνδρας και μία γυναίκα ηλικίας περίπου 55 ετών, υπήκοοι Ισραήλ, απομακρύνθηκαν με ασφάλεια από το όχημα. Δεν κινδύνευσε η ζωή τους και η επιχείρηση απεγκλωβισμού ολοκληρώθηκε χωρίς προβλήματα. Ο κρατικός μηχανισμός παραμένει σε ετοιμότητα, καθώς τα φαινόμενα εξακολουθούν να επηρεάζουν περιοχές της κεντρικής Ελλάδας. www.ertnews.gr

Νέο πρόβλημα στο λογισμικό του 737 MAX της Boeing
Ο αμερικανικός κολοσσός της αεροπορικής βιομηχανίας Boeing εντόπισε νέο πρόβλημα στο λογισμικό του εξαιρετικά διαδεδομένου επιβατικού αεροσκάφους της 737 MAX, αναγνώρισε η διοίκησή του χθες Σάββατο. Το πρόβλημα μπορεί δυνητικά να αφήσει τους χειριστές αβοήθητους από τον αυτόματο πιλότο σε συγκεκριμένο σενάριο προσγείωσης, έπειτα από εγκατάλειψη προσπάθειας προσεδάφισης, εξήγησε. Διαβεβαίωσε πως οι πιλότοι είναι εκπαιδευμένοι για να αντιμετωπίζουν τέτοιες καταστάσεις, χρησιμοποιώντας προβλεπόμενες διαδικασίες, προσθέτοντας ότι ετοιμάζει ενημέρωση λογισμικού για να διορθωθεί το πρόβλημα οριστικά. Δεν είναι σαφές πόσα από τα 2.000 και πλέον 737 MAX που έχουν παραδοθεί μέχρι σήμερα σε αερομεταφορείς αντιμετωπίζουν τέτοιο πρόβλημα. Το λογισμικό του συγκεκριμένου μοντέλου αεροσκάφους βύθισε την Boeing στη σοβαρότερη κρίση της ιστορίας της, αφού δυο ολοκαίνουργια δείγματα συνετρίβησαν τον Οκτώβριο του 2018 και τον Μάρτιο του 2019, με αποτέλεσμα να χάσουν τη ζωή τους συνολικά 346 άνθρωποι. Η αιτία των τραγωδιών αυτών ήταν το MCAS, μέρος του λογισμικού εμπνευσμένο από στρατιωτικές εφαρμογές της Boeing, εγκατεστημένο εν αγνοία των πιλότων και σχεδιασμένο για να βοηθά τους χειριστές να αποφεύγουν απώλεια στήριξης — πλην όμως επενέβαινε πολύ επιθετικά υπό συγκεκριμένες περιστάσεις κι έπαιρνε δεδομένα από μόνο έναν αισθητήρα, που μπορούσε να παγώσει πάνω από συγκεκριμένο ύψος. Οι πιλότοι των δυο μοιραίων αεροπλάνων δεν μπόρεσαν να το απενεργοποιήσουν έγκαιρα. Εξαιτίας της δυσλειτουργίας, που εντέλει η Boeing παραδέχτηκε, αναγκάστηκε να καθηλώσει τα αεροσκάφη του τύπου στο έδαφος για καιρό. Το 737 MAX αντιμετώπισε κι άλλα προβλήματα. Τον Ιανουάριο του 2024, πόρτα και μέρος της ατράκτου αποκολλήθηκε από σχεδόν ολοκαίνουργιο αεροσκάφος κατά τη φάση της ανόδου μετά την απογείωση στις ΗΠΑ, εγείροντας αμφιβολίες για τις διαδικασίες ελέγχου ποιότητας.
